Make your own ethanol?

May 9th, 2008

So this article  from Reuters introduces us to a $10,000 home ethanol maker. It’s pretty interesting. Clearly none of us should be running out to buy one, but it’s technology to keep in mind for the future. There’s no secret to the fact that ethanol made from corn is not the most effecient use of resources, so it’s good to see people exploring alternatives. What is most interesting about this particular product is that it is marketed to a single person or family.

With a bit more reseach and testing I could foresee myself being very supportive of this technology.

A triumphant return!

May 2nd, 2008

or at least the beginning of a triumphant return.

I realize I have been a bit MIA and I would like to apologize. I am hoping to get the ball rolling here again soon. I will be looking for a new summer layout and trying to jazz things up a bit. Look for that in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, here is a nifty article from the Christian Science Monitor on personal windmills. I’m a fan for sure!
